Today I am adding one my favorite recipe in my Breakfast recipes section. Boondi raita is the tastiest raita among all raita recipes. You can pair up with, paratha, rice, biryani or any other breakfast recipes. It is very easy to prepare recipe, anyone can prepare within few minutes.

It is the combination of boondi, yogurt and spices .It just melts in your mouth. Here I added directly boondi to curd, to give crunchy taste. If you want soak boondi in water for 10 minutes then drain it and mix it in yogurt mixture. Generally we don’t add peanuts to raita, but to increase the nutritive value of the recipe, I added here, raita taste with the peanuts is very enjoyable.  Definitely, you will like it.

Main ingredient of Boondi Raita Recipe is yogurt and boondi.

Preparation time-10 minutes

Ingredients

Yogurt-1 cup (250g)

Boondi-1/2 cup (25g)

Roasted peanuts- 15g

Green chili-1 no (2g) (as spicy as you want)

Curry leaves-(20-25 leaves)

Asafetida-a pinch

Roasted jeera powder-1/2 tsp

Ghee-1/2 tsp

Sugar-1 tsp

Salt- as per taste

Method    

Roast peanuts and crush it in motor-pestle.

Take a bowl add yogurt, crushed peanuts, sugar and salt.mix it.

Heat a pan adds ½ tsp ghee, add curry leaves, chopped green chili. Fry it, switch off the flame add asafetida mix it. Pour it in yogurt bowl.

Mix it, add boondi to it, and mix it.

Crispy boondi raita is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves.
